Scott Thorpe, DC, DACBR

dr-thorpe-portraitDr. Thorpe graduated from Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis, Missouri in 1995 where he received his Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Human Biology and Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.).  He has been board-certified in radiology since 1998.

He completed a full-time, three-year residency in diagnostic imaging at the National College of Chiropractic (now the National University of Health Sciences), which encompassed all aspects of imaging with a focus on musculoskeletal radiology. During the residency, Dr. Thorpe was responsible for film interpretation from outpatient clinics, National College’s Radiology Consultation Service, and The National MRI Center.  He was also an instructor for Radiology Learning Labs and Radiation Physics, Normal Anatomy, and Bone Pathology for the chiropractic curriculum.  He has also been an instructor for the radiology portion of the National Chiropractic Board Examination. His post-graduate training has continued with yearly educational symposiums and conferences across the country.

Dr. Thorpe is credentialed in general MRI by the Clinical Magnetic Resonance Society.  Dr. Thorpe is a member of the American Chiropractic Association (ACA), American Chiropractic College of Radiology (ACCR), ACA’s Council On Diagnostic Imaging, The American Roentgen Ray Society (ARRS), Clinical Magnetic Resonance Society (CRMS), Florida Chiropractic Association (FCA), and Florida Chiropractic Society (FCS).  He is also an adjunct faculty member of the National University Of Health Sciences post-graduate department.

Rudy N. Heiser, DC, DACBR

dr-rudy-portraitDr. Heiser is a board-certified chiropractic radiologist, educator and author who received his Doctor of Chiropractic from National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, Illinois where he graduated Cum Laude and Salutatorian in 2004. He then practiced at a multi-disciplinary clinic in Charlotte, North Carolina for three years before going back to obtain his Master of Science degree in Diagnostic Imaging, graduating Summa Cum Laude in August 2010. 

For three years, Dr. Heiser held a residency in the Department of Diagnostic Imaging at his alma mater. He moved to Tampa Bay in 2010 to take a position as assistant professor teaching radiology and clinical practice at the National University of Health Sciences in St. Petersburg, Florida, and is also an adjunct faculty member at St. Petersburg College teaching anatomy to pre-professional students.

Having completed over 300 hours in chiropractic orthopedic training, Dr. Heiser has also had extensive post-graduate training in advanced imaging throughout the country.  He is a frequent post-graduate speaker at Florida Chiropractic Association conventions, lecturing on common, as well as unsuspected, musculoskeletal conditions and their various manifestations. Dr. Heiser is a member of the American Chiropractic College of Radiology, the American Roentgen Ray Society, the American Chiropractic Association, the Florida Chiropractic Association, and the Pinellas County Chiropractic Society.

Christopher L. Smoley, DC, DACBR

Christopher L. Smoley graduated Summa Cum Laude from Palmer Chiropractic College, Davenport Campus, earning his Doctor of Chiropractic in 2012. He was awarded the Salutatorian of his graduating class. In fall of 2012, Dr. Smoley moved to Dallas, Texas, to complete a residency in diagnostic imaging at Parker University. He successfully completed his residency in 2015 and successfully passed his board examinations, earning the Diplomat status with the American Chiropractic Board of Radiology (ACBR). Since this time Dr. Smoley has been a faculty member at Parker University, D’Youville College, Palmer College, and Northwestern Health Sciences University as well as the Executive Director of the Chiropractic Program at D’Youville College. Dr. Smoley was nominated and accepted appointment to the American Chiropractic Board of Radiology (ACBR), now on his second term and currently the Vice-President of the ACBR

Munyeoung Choi, DC, MS, DACBR

Munyeong Choi, D.C., M.S., DACBR earned his doctor of chiropractic at National University of Health Sciences in 2008. He completed his residency in diagnostic imaging in the same institution in 2012, along with Master of Science in Diagnostic Imaging. Throughout his residency, he was trained under renowned chiropractic and medical radiologists including Drs. Yochum, Rowe, Taylor, Kyle and Resnick, and completed several short-term fellowship trainings in diagnostic imaging with an emphasis on musculoskeletal radiology at the University of San Diego in San Diego CA, Park Ridge Hospital in Chattanooga, TN, and Seoul National University Hospital in Seoul, South Korea. He is currently serving at Palmer College of Chiropractic Florida as an associate professor teaching radiology courses for second year chiropractic students.
