Radiologists
Richard A. Leverone, DC, DACBR
Dr. Leverone graduated from the National College of chiropractic in Chicago in 1959 and completed his radiology training at Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis in 1968.  He was board certified in radiology in 1970. 

He began his training in MRI in 1982 at the Radiological Society of North America in Chicago and completed visiting fellowships in MRI/CT at University of South Florida in 1989 and 1990 and University of California, San Francisco in 1990 and  at the Harvard Medical School department of continuing education 1996 and 1997.

He is a member of the post-graduate faculty of the National University of Health Sciences and is a well known lecturer locally and nationally on the subjects of diagnostic radiology and radiation physics, MRI/CT and MR physics and technique.  He has interpreted over 100,000 MRI cases and has published numerous articles, including a  publication that appeared in the March 1999 edition of The Clinical Magnetic Resonance Society Newsletter.

Dr. Leverone is a member of the American Chiropractic Association, American College of Chiropractic Radiologists, Clinical Magnetic Resonance Society, Florida Chiropractic Association (FCA), Florida Chiropractic Society (FCS), West Coast Radiological Society, and the Pinellas Chiropractic Society.  Dr. Leverone is credentialed in MRI by the Clinical Magnetic Resonance Society.

   
Scott Thorpe, DC, DACBR
Dr. Thorpe graduated from Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis, Missouri in 1995 where he received his Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Human Biology and Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.).  He was board certified in radiology in 1998.

He completed a full time three year residency in diagnostic imaging at the National College of Chiropractic (now the National University of Health Sciences) which encompassed all aspects of imaging with a focus on musculoskeletal radiology. During the residency Dr. Thorpe was responsible for film interpretation from outpatient clinics, National College’s Radiology Consultation Service, and The National MRI Center.  He was also an instructor for Radiology Learning Labs and Radiation Physics, Normal Anatomy, and Bone Pathology for the chiropractic curriculum.  He has also been an instructor for the radiology portion of the National Chiropractic Board Examination. His post-graduate training has continued with yearly educational symposium and conferences across the country.

Dr. Thorpe is credentialed in general MRI by the Clinical Magnetic Resonance Society.  Dr. Thorpe is also a member of the American Chiropractic Association (ACA), American Chiropractic College of Radiology (ACCR), ACA’s Council On Diagnostic Imaging, The American Roentgen Ray Society (ARRS), Clinical Magnetic Resonance Society (CRMS), Florida Chiropractic Association (FCA), and Florida Chiropractic Society (FCS).  He is also an adjunct faculty member of the National University Of Health Sciences post-graduate department.

   
Terry D. Sandman, DC, MPH, DACBR
Terry D. Sandman, D.C., M.P.H. earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the National College of Chiropractic, Lombard, Illinois in 1977.  He completed residency training in radiology at National and became board certified in radiology in 1980.  Dr. Sandman held positions as associate professor of radiology and head of the department of clinical radiology at National College where he currently maintains postgraduate lecturer status.  He completed advanced imaging fellowships in orthopedic and neuroradiology through the MRI Education Foundation, Cincinnati, Ohio and at Carol Stream Imaging in Illinois.  He later served as clinical director and radiologist at AirLite Imaging in Elgin, Illinois. 

In 1997 Dr. Sandman earned a Master of Public Health degree from Northern Illinois University and performed independent studies in environmental radiation.  Before joining Diagnostic Imaging Consultants in St. Petersburg Florida he was owner and director of Sandman Chiropractic Associates, P.C. and Sandman Radiology in Bloomingdale, Illinois where he maintained his radiology consultation practice.  Dr. Sandman is a highly regarded chiropractic physician, radiologist, author and lecturer.

Dr. Sandman is a member of the American Chiropractic College of Radiology, the American Chiropractic Association, the Council on Diagnostic Imaging and the Florida Chiropractic Association.
